John Flett is the newest ActionCOACH from the South East Queensland territory.
(1888PressRelease) April 12, 2008 - Stan Jordan, ActionCOACH Master Licensee, has named John Flett as the newest ActionCOACH in the South East Queensland territory.
John Flett is the fifth ActionCOACH to join Steve and Jo Wanmer’s ActionCOACH business coaching firm. They have been developing their firm for some time now and they look after the SE Queensland territory very effectively with a fulltime office manager, Business Development Manager (BDM), marketing person and two part-time telemarketers.
“Our firm is very organized and very structured with an excellent team of business coaches,” Flett said.
Flett, who was already in the business of helping business owners turn their businesses around, was looking for a suitable follow through as he finished a coaching stint overseas.
“My friend who is a BDM at this coaching firm told me that they were looking for more Business Coaches to join and that he thought I would be very suitable for the role,” Flett said. “I have an in-depth understanding of the problems associated with running small, medium and large corporations, and a great empathy with the associated problems. This is the reason I was looking for something to do in this field,” he added.
Flett had been to other such places but as soon as he visited ActionCOACH, he felt at ease.
“I trusted Peter Newby the BDM, as a personal friend who wouldn’t ‘stitch me up’ with a dumb project. Besides, I knew I was eminently suitable for the role and couldn’t wait to turn that into my undoubted success,” he said.
Flett has an impressive background in business. He was Acting CEO for a company with worldwide offices. “I was in USA for eight months last year working on a project,” he said.
Last year, Flett worked for a company that was losing $80K a month, and despite numerous obstacles put in his way by the Board, he was able to turn it around to break even within six months’ time. When he worked for Fortis Insurance, he coached Business Managers, and implemented structured changes that improved sales by 30 percent across the board. Flett was also responsible for taking a car dealership to the number one spot in sales in Australia for its market.
Flett has always had an entrepreneurial spirit; he started a business from scratch and at age 22 and built it up to a substantial turnover, laterally employing seven staff members. Flett has started, built and sold two other businesses, one in Compressed Air Equipment, and the other in kids’ apparel manufacturing and retail operations. “My wife ran the apparel business,” he added.
Flett’s first impression of ActionCOACH was how there were systems in place for almost every angle of business including many he had not even dreamed of. “I joined ActionCOACH because I love helping people and have a passion to also make money, whilst enjoying a quality lifestyle,” he said.
