- (1888PressRelease) October 24, 2013 - Ledyard, CT - On stage for the legendary Acoustic Nights show at the Hard Rock Café Foxwoods, Joe Taylor will perform for fans Halloween Night, October 31st with show time starting at 8:30 PM. Playing songs from his debut full-length album release "Anything's Possible," Taylor will entertain attendees for the entire night, offering another option outside of handing out candy to trick-or-treaters. There is no cover charge for the 21+ show.
Joe Taylor was donned "The Subway Idol" in 2008 by the New York Times. In a video feature that went viral, the New York Times followed Taylor from his doorstep to city hall through the process of auditioning for a performance permit that allows artists to play in the New York City Subway System for passer-bys. In a competition that resembles TV's "American Idol," performers, like contestants, bring their personal brand of entertainment to a council of advisors and judges that hand select less than two dozen artists from hundreds of annual applicants to receive the honors. With years of performing around New York City and across North America, Taylor's honed songwriting and performance skills offered him the coveted prize.
In the five years since earning the title, Taylor recorded his full length debut CD titled "Anything's Possible" with visionary audio engineers Matthew Spindel (Santana, Tom Petty) and Jeff Gross (Gary Wright, Rick Springfield.) The album was co-written with rock and pop multi-instrumentalist Matt Bissonette (David Lee Roth, Rick Springfield.) Taylor's debut CD release brings music fans a fresh sound to rival today's TMZ favorites in the music industry.
The 12-song CD is working its way into FM radio while climbing the download charts on iTunes. Reviews compare Taylor's vocals to that of Journey front man Steve Perry while the songs offer Taylor's soulful voice with his unique brand of acoustic retro-rock that aligns itself with today's top pop-artists including John Mayer, Maroon 5 and Train. The single "Sweetest Tune" has been featured on daytime television's prime drama "Days of our Lives," as well as charting in the number one slot on Canada's National FM radio, a feat no other independent artist has achieved since Nickelback in 1996.
During his Halloween night performance, guests and attendees can expect to hear a blend of Taylor's original songs mixed with popular standards and favorites that have made the radio charts over the past few decades. Joe Taylor's CD "Anything's Possible" will be available for purchase at the show.
