Chair of the firm's Diversity Committee, Swick served on the Board of Governors of California Women Lawyer's (CWL) for six years, including three terms on the executive committee. Swick also was a panelist on "Making Partner: The Climb Up the Firm Ladder" at CWL's Annual Conference. She earned her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (2003) and her B.A., summa cum laude, from Texas Tech University (1999).
