JK Harris Employees Rally to Support Local Trident United Way
Employees at JK Harris and Company, the nation's largest tax representation firm, celebrate their second successful pledge campaign to rally support for Trident United Way.
- (1888PressRelease) October 06, 2010 - GOOSE CREEK, S.C. - After a two week pledge campaign to rally support for Trident United Way, employees at JK Harris and Company, the nation's largest tax representation firm, celebrated the end of their second successful pledge drive campaign last Friday.
"Whenever the company has asked our employees to assist in the local community, they always respond to the call," said Gina Anton, Director of Corporate Communications and Campaign Coordinator within the company for United Way. "Our employees are compassionate and are motivated to help others - a trait that is necessary for the work they do on a daily basis."
Employees gathered for an employee carnival on Friday to celebrate the end of the pledge campaign and to enjoy carnival games, pizza and a cupcake bar. Further funds raised from the carnival games will also be donated to Trident United Way.
"Once again, I am amazed at the generosity our employees have shown with their participation in United Way's pledge campaign," said John Harris, founder and CEO of JK Harris. "I am proud we have a compassionate and generous group of employees who are giving of their time and resources when they see need out in the community."
This is the second year JK Harris has taken part in the United Way pledge campaign. The company partnered with Trident United Way in 2009 to help make a difference in the Tri-county area.
Trident United Way works to strengthen our community by focusing on the building blocks of a good life -- education, income and health. Trident United Way has raised $134 million for Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties since its inception in 1944.
