Jill Heinerth to Share Expedition Stories at Upcoming Event Hosted by Oceanblue Divers
Dive Club Welcomes Underwater Cave Explorer and Environmentalist on March 26th in New York City.
- Stamford-Norwalk, CT (1888PressRelease) March 12, 2015 - Oceanblue Divers, one of the nation's largest dive clubs, invites members and other underwater enthusiasts to an event at Quinn's Bar & Grill in New York City on Thursday, March 26th, 2015.
Award-winning underwater cave explorer and environmentalist Jill Heinerth has been announced as the event's speaker. Attendees will hear detailed accounts from her exploration inside Antarctica's icebergs to the ruthless North African desert and caves inside an active volcano. She will also share personal photographs and video clips from her excursions.
The Royal Canadian Geographical Society awarded Heinerth the inaugural Medal for Exploration, which celebrates singular achievements and the pursuit of excellence by an outstanding Canadian explorer. Heinerth was also presented with the Wyland Icon and Sea Hero of the Year awards in recognition of her lifetime commitment to water advocacy.
