This milestone discovery was made by a Jewelmer farmer while he was retrieving an oyster basket that had fallen off his line. The site yielded a veritable treasure of jars, plates, and even a miniature cannon from China and Vietnam. All these point to fascinating clues about how the Chinese sailed the South Seas on the ancient trade route called the Pearl Road.
