Presenting the NYUZMAKERS CRICKET CHALLENGE - An underarm Cricket Tournament for Jewelery Retailers of Mumbai to meet, play and interact. Beginning from 9th January 2012 to 13th January 2012, it's an innovative Box-Cricket Tournament which is a fun format with a different set of rules that makes it far more interesting than the regular bat and ball game.
- (1888PressRelease) January 08, 2012 - Presenting the NYUZMAKERS CRICKET CHALLENGE - An underarm Cricket Tournament for Jewelery Retailers of Mumbai to meet, play and interact. Beginning from 9th January 2012 to 13th January 2012, it's an innovative Box-Cricket Tournament which is a fun format with a different set of rules that makes it far more interesting than the regular bat and ball game.
The highlights of this format are :
• 16 jewellery teams to participate
• The matches will be at Khar Gymkhana and from 7pm to 10 pm under floodlights
• It will be an underarm cricket tournament played with softball in a box format
• Each team will have 9 members of which 2 will be women

• Some of the leading retailers who have confirmed participation are Manubhai Jewellers, Gili, Gehna Jewellers, Cygnus, Kundan Jewellers, TBZ-The Original and even the GJEPC (Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council).

The event will have the gracious presence of the legendary cricket coach, Mr. Ramakant Achrekar and his daughter, Mrs. Kalpana Murkar as the chief guests. Mr. Ramakant Achrekar is a highly respected cricket coach in India for having trained the likes of Sachin Tendulkar and other youngsters most notably at Shivaji Park. He's also the recipient of the Dronacharya Award for his contribution to Indian cricket coaching. Mrs. Kalpana Murkar has followed in her father's footsteps and is the coach of the Mumbai Cricket Association and the Women's Cricket Association. In a sense, she is the inheritor of her father's legacy at Shivaji Park.
