New York, NY (1888PressRelease) January 10, 2010 - Holy Fire Publishing releases The Christian Lady's Dating Constitution: A memorandum addressed to Teens, Their Parents, and Young Adults (Paperback, U.S. $13.99, ISBN# 978-1603832830) Jessica Martin reveals her past unhealthy relationship with a "Christian" ex-boyfriend and details her journey towards the realization that God gives instructions on how to detect unhealthy relationships in the Bible.
The idea to write this book came to Jessica Martin almost four years ago when she was researching a book for one of her close friends to read concerning what God considers to be a healthy dating relationship. She searched for Christian books at her local library and through online book retailers and had difficulty locating Christian books that discussed how to identify healthy and unhealthy relationships. She finally found two books at her local library; however the books only had 1-2 chapters that discussed healthy relationships. She was shocked. According to the author most of the Christian books that she was able to locate mainly discussed abstinence and purity; thereby neglecting topics such as the indications of unhealthy relationships.
This book is outlined as a constitution which consists of a Bill of Rights that Christian ladies are encouraged to follow according to Biblical principles. This book is a memoir, inspirational read, and an empowering book that is filled with diagrams and scenarios that captivate the audience. The purpose of this book is to help Christian tweens and teens gain discernment regarding friendships, associations, and boyfriends.
