Jenne, Inc.'s Service Outpaces Competition, Winning Ongoing Business from Major Extreme Networks Integrator Delta Network Services
High-Priority Treatment, Including Fast Delivery and Responsiveness, Leads Education Market Installer to Switch Sourcing Distribution Partner and Divert Millions in WAN/LAN Sales to Jenne.
- (1888PressRelease) August 08, 2012 - Avon, OH - Jenne, Inc., a leading value-added distributor of IP telephony, audio and video conferencing, unified communications, data networking and IT security products, has earned the business of Delta Network Services - a respected networking system integrator headquartered in the Detroit, Michigan area. After its first deal with Delta three years ago, Jenne has since successfully parlayed the opportunity into a long-term, loyal customer relationship, delivering attentive ongoing customer support that eclipses that of the competition.
Delta Network Services now sources all of its Extreme Networks equipment from Jenne to satisfy its many wireless and local area network switching projects, and enjoys expedient shipping and the responsive attention it deserves. Delta has been carrying Extreme Networks' solutions since 2003, and switched over to Jenne in 2009. Since the switchover, Jenne has sold Delta millions of dollars worth of Extreme Networks equipment.
Delta Network Services specializes in the design, installation and on-going support of converged IP networks accommodating Voice, Data and IP video on a single infrastructure. This typically involves deployment of network switches, routers, WLAN controllers and access points, VoIP servers, and firewalls across different buildings and campuses via local and wide area networks. Delta is service focused and a major supplier of technology solutions to enterprise customers throughout the Midwest, with an emphasis on K12 and higher education institutions.
"We go in and install the proverbial 'information super highway' on these campuses," said Mark Wheatley, a founding partner at Delta Networking Services. "Since many of these network refreshes are financed by one-time-only sources of public funding, such as a bond or government E-Rate grant, they must be robust and future-proofed enough to last for a decade or longer." Wheatley has relied on Extreme Networks' innovative networking routers, switches and Ethernet technologies since 2003, just two years after his company was founded by himself and two other partners.
Delta originally contracted with a competing distributor until ship times sometimes lagged on for three weeks at a time, says Wheatley. In addition, they would often receive orders that were either incomplete or had wrong components, he says. This made it difficult to satisfy Delta's eager education end-customers, who must have their installations completed by the end of summer break. After enduring continued difficulty, one of Delta's trusted vendor partners finally suggested Jenne.
"We decided to give Jenne a try, and they've been terrific to work with ever since," said Wheatley. "The difference in service has been remarkable. Most orders ship within a day and sometimes the same day. And Jenne's error rate has been just about zero. This helps us deliver more streamlined and reliable service to our education customers, who are subject to rigorous public scrutiny if we don't complete the job on time and as specified."
Wheatley reports that in many situations, Jenne has been able to accommodate early ordering for Delta in cases when a project was still pending, purely based on the mutual trust the two companies have developed over time.
"Jenne reacts quickly to any needs or questions we have and we are all treated as if we're a valued part of their business," said Wheatley. "Since we're a very service-oriented organization ourselves, we appreciate when a partner can provide the same level of commitment that we promise our own clientele."
Such VIP treatment by Jenne has led to steady sales for Delta. In 2011 alone, the company purchased more than $2 million worth of Extreme Networks' product through Jenne.
"One of the very basic principles we follow at Jenne is to treat customers well so they will keep coming back," said Vince Piccolomini, vice president of logistics and business development, Jenne. "We are happy to have been Delta Network Services' trusted resource for their Extreme Networks deployments and this has truly been a win-win for both companies. We look forward to doing much more business with them in the future and look to continue what has been a truly supportive VAR-distributor relationship."
