Quote Sadly, our project has come too late for Michael Jackson. Unfortunately he died before we could cast his body. Quote
  • Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) October 09, 2009 - Foley will put the cherry on the top of the Bodies of Art project in this Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 10:30 AM when she cast's the final sculpture in the series, the "Venus de Jeremy." The headless, armless, legless torso of her celebrity brother(Jeremy Foley star of such movies as Dante's Peak, Soccer Dog, Action News at 5 and Caitlin's Way). The Bodies of Art collection is based on an interesting process in which the artist, Courtney "The Genius" Foley casts select body parts of celebrities in plaster. Sculpture:  From the Bodies of Art project, created by Courtney "The Genius" Foley: Bodies of Art Sculptures are the only celebrity collectable where art aficionados can actually own single edition original cast pieces of the celebrity.

Available on eBay at Like Michael Jackson's Neverland/Elvis' Graceland, Item Id:270464458821. Starting price:$1,250,000.00. An advancement that takes celebrity collectibility to a new level never before attempted and creates a futures market in celebrity collectibles! It is inherently unfair that a celebrity should have to die in order to access their postmortem value. The Bodies of Art Project, recognizing mortality, proposes to access celebrity collectability in the here and now through creating body sculptures, plastination, eternal advertising and cryonic preservation combined with cloning to make and take celebrities generational!

But the personalized sculptures aren't just for celebrities. Foley says you or I can have a personalized piece created. Foley laughs, "There isn't a waiting list yet, but we'd love to make it happen for anybody who likes the idea. We've been running casting call ads in Variety and Hollywood reporter to get new clients, especially any "A" list celebrities. Sadly, our project has come too late for Michael Jackson. Unfortunately he died before we could cast his body for private collections, charitable donations or immortality. If Michael had only had access to his after life market value, perhaps he'd even be alive today."

Twenty five percent of the Bodies of Art Project profits as sold through eBay:Jeremobilia, will go to the Disabled American Veterans, a non-profit foundation that helps those who have sacrificed so much for us. The Bodies of Art Project represents a lifetime's worth of "Jeremobilia," collectable pieces of Jeremy Foley. Jeremy Foley is a working, middle class actor with a variety of projects under his belt that nonetheless lend credence to his ability. The collection was enabled by Jeremy's mother Rocio, who from birth, knew that her son was destined for great things and so saved everything from diapers to his first BMW keys.

And for the kids, Courtney and Jeremy have created a Board game.  Bodopoly: A unique tie in product that mirrors and simulates the Bodies of Art premise that the ultimate collector would be the individual or corporate entity that would possess the entire celebrity body as a complete collection.  A board game where the objective is to be the first person to collect an entire body and win!  Foley says, "This allows those of lesser financial means to share in the fun and thrill of the whole Bodies of Art excitement.  Even if you can't afford high end, high concept art, you can still pretend like you can!  It's a terrific learning tool for children to teach the concept of celebrity capitalism!"
Go to youtube and type in Bodopoly to see the product!

Courtney says, "While the intent of the project is in fun. The whole idea is to take the celebrity collectable concept to the extreme.  What we have put together is an art project that takes the concept of celebrity collectability to an absurd length. We operate off of what we call the Mylie Cyrus corollary which postulates that celebrity is not a function of talent or merit, but of marketing. We are challenging people to reassess how they are manipulated by advertising."

Foley concludes: "This is Economic Recovery through creative American Entrepreneurial effort at its highest level!  This is not a government program!  It is the collective effort of an amazing creative family determined to vitalize the economy with controversial, cutting edge concepts.

Up Next, The Bodies of Art Film. The screenplay is a comedy that mirrors the actual events created by the Bodies of Art and imagines their potential outcome with hilarious and unexpected results. Foley Says. "I guess in it's overall concept, we are pre-creating a marketing campaign for a movie we have yet to make, by creating the reality upon which it is based.  A very Hanna Montana concept done on a shoestring budget and using reality as it's backdrop as opposed to fantasy while utilizing and initiating all the consumable marketing tie-ins in advance just the same as a large corporation would do."

Courtney says: "In the Bodies of Art movie, we are creating the extreme collectable celebrity reality upon which it is based.  As the main character under dire financial distress sells her body over the internet in order to gain publicity and money for her own projects, everything she owns then becomes collectable.  Of course, the enormous sums of money she gains in true Faustian fashion prove to be illusory as in her haste to gain money at any price she essentially loses the only thing she has left, her body and to a certain extent her soul.  Suddenly her closest friends become tainted by her and their own greed as they rush to capitalize on her newly inflated value.  The devil in the details of course is then the uber capitalist billionaire pornographer who unseen has been deftly manipulating the entire situation to his advantage. (Sound familiar?). He is however in a rush to complete his grab for immortality by hastening his latest "artistic" acquisition into his collection."

Fortunately, our main character is saved at the last moment by her now repentant suitor who realizes that of course, he loves her beyond her monetary value.  Certainly, the cryonics aspect of the Bodies of Art Project then makes sense as we see our main character die of old age, only to be resurrected again in youth.  Sadly, we only did it to provide for a sequel.
