Jay McCarroll Will Exhibit at Crafty Bastards Arts and Crafts Fair & Will Be a Speaker at the Summit of Awesome
The upcoming Washington City Paper's Crafty Bastards Art & Craft Fair will take place on Saturday, October 1st, 2011 from 10am - 5pm in Adams Morgan and Jay McCarroll will be one of the vendors.
- (1888PressRelease) September 17, 2011 - Jay, the fashion designer known for winning season 1 of Project Runway as well as season 7 of Celebrity Fit Club, recently launched his new website and shop, Jay McCarroll Online. Jay will be showcasing many of the items available online at the Crafty Bastards Arts & Crafts Fair.

Crafty Bastards is an event that is put on by the Washington City Paper, and co-produced by Hello Craft, which also produces the Summit of Awesome. Two of the four Hello Craft Directors, have been Festival Directors of the Crafty Bastards Arts and Crafts Fair since the first fair.
As part of Hello Craft's ongoing education mission, it helps to produce Crafty Bastards, which educates the public to the benefits of buying handmade. Now in its 8th year, Crafty Bastards Arts & Crafts Fair is an exhibition and sale of handmade alternative arts and crafts from independent artists. The fair is all-day, outdoors, free to attend, and will offer goods for sale, food, entertainment, prizes, and more!
In addition to being a vendor at the Crafty Bastards Arts & Crafts Fair, Jay has been invited to be a guest speaker at the Summit of Awesome. The Summit of Awesome is also produced by Hello Craft and is an annual conference that brings together crafters and makers from across the U.S. to learn, grow, and be prosperous in today's economy. With a desire to help sustain the handmade movement and support independent crafters within the community, Hello Craft welcomes independent business owners and makers to the 2011 Summit of Awesome. This year, the Summit of Awesome is in Baltimore, MD on October 20th through the 22nd.
