Janna Pascan Awarded July's Face of Wafi Title
Janna is the third Face of Wafi winner and was selected from a record number of entries for the mall's monthly competition, winning Dh1,000 in shopping and restaurant vouchers.
- (1888PressRelease) August 12, 2010 - July's face of Wafi winner is 32 year old Janna Pascan, who lives in Dubai and is originally from Chisinau in Moldova.
Pascan was delighted to receive the award, saying: "I came to Dubai to get more experience and better life opportunities so winning this award has been a real boost for me - I'm very proud.
"Of course, to be aesthetically pleasing is an important thing, but fashion plays a big part too and everyone should take care to choose the style that matches their appearance.
"For make-up I like a more dramatic style, with 'smoky' eyes being my current favourite look. When it comes to clothes I like to call my personal style 'alluring elegance', with more focus upon the elegance during the daytime.
"I also believe anyone can look great wearing a nice pair of jeans and a vintage t-shirt. However, it's important to give thought to the shoes that add a crucial finishing touch to any style."
Janna, who has worked as a promoter, hostess and model in Dubai for over two years, lists reading and dancing as her favourite hobbies. Her favourite cuisine is Romanian and regards John Galliano as her favourite designer due to his elegant but sometimes outrageous styles, which she can relate to.
She adds: "Wafi sometimes gives me the feeling it's more a piece of art than just a place for shopping, and the pyramids at the entrance are really amazing. I especially prefer to visit Wafi in the evening as the architecture and lighting is absolutely fantastic."
Now in its fourth month, the Face of Wafi competition offers Dh1,000 in shopping and dining vouchers every month as organisers search for the UAE's trendiest ladies. Females of any age or nationality can post their most fashionable full length picture on Wafi Mall's Facebook wall each month for the chance win. The winner is chosen by Wafi management and the only condition is that entrants should be female and based in UAE and there is no rule against repeat entries.
