San Diego attorney to serve on State Bar agency charged with evaluating candidates for judicial appointment.
San Diego, CA (1888PressRelease) August 12, 2013 - Janice F. Mulligan of the law firm of MULLIGAN BANHAM has been appointed to the Commission on Judicial Nominees Evaluation (JNE), the State Bar agency that evaluates all candidates who are under consideration for a judicial appointment by the governor. Mulligan will begin her term on the Commission beginning January 31, 2014.

Mulligan represents patients and other consumers in catastrophic medical malpractice, nursing home abuse and personal injury cases.
Active in community and professional organizations, Mulligan is also currently a clinical instructor at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. Mulligan previously served as Chair of the American Bar Association (ABA) Standing Committee on Medical Professional Liability, as a member of the ABA House of Delegates, and a member of the ABA Tort, Trial and Insurance Practice's Council. Mulligan also served on the Board of Directors of the San Diego County Bar Association and the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego.
Mulligan earned both her B.A. and her law degree from the University of San Diego. She is also a graduate of the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College.
The mission of the Commission on Judicial Nominees Evaluation (JNE) of the State Bar of California is to assist the governor in the judicial selection process and thereby promote a California judiciary of quality and integrity by providing independent, comprehensive, accurate and fair evaluations of candidates for judicial appointment and nomination.
