  • (1888PressRelease) January 16, 2015 - Tomball, Texas - Author James Williams debuts his new novel, It Tolls For Thee, this week. A portion of the author's proceeds will benefit the Wounded Warriors Project.

"It took me forty years to realize that I'm a writer," Williams says. "Other than silly poems and songs I used to write for my kids when they were little, writing was the farthest thing from my mind. But I've always had a knack for storytelling, so I decided it was time to write a novel."

The sweeping story is set in Afghanistan and stateside. Dan Ross is an American soldier dealing with the aftermath of a green on blue attack that left him paralyzed in body and spirit. It Tolls For Thee is a tale of hate and betrayal that transforms into one of love and redemption.

Blackshear School Librarian, Christin Banes, says, "The fast paced plot keeps your interest, but like the great novels, the story itself is not the only take away from this book."

Published by Alternative Book Press, It Tolls For Thee, is available in paperback or for Kindle. The book can be purchased on Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com for less than $15.

Williams lives in Tomball, TX with his wife, Julie, and their youngest daughter. He chose to donate to Wounded Warriors Project because their son, a decorated Marine, has benefited from the organization in the past.
