- (1888PressRelease) July 17, 2011 - NEW YORK, NY - In anticipation of the July 28th airing of the Independence Day kick-off to the 16-city Mission One Voice Tour headlined by 3-time Grammy® winning singer/songwriter Ne-Yo, Jam House Live has announced an unprecedented partnership with web streaming platform Big Live and Reverb Nation, the leading online music community over 1.4 million members strong, giving a Reverb Nation artist the chance to win a spot opening up for the headliner on a future Mission One Voice Tour stop.
Mission One Voice (MOV) is a collaborative venture between Lerer Media and the Center for American Military Music Opportunities (CAMMO), a non-profit entity, formed to bring quality entertainment events to our troops, their families and the communities they serve. In addition to Ne-Yo, who headlines the kick-off event from Brooklyn's Fort Hamilton, previous headlining performers include R&B stars Monica, Trey Songz and Patti LaBelle, as well as acts from a diverse cross section of genres such as jazz, rock, country, and hip-hop, like Plain White T's, B.O.B,., and Lonestar.
"In furtherance of First Lady Michelle Obama's initiatives in support of military families, Jam House Live proudly announces its partnership with Lerer Media, MWR, and CAMMO to bring the Mission One Voice Tour to the masses via the World Wide Web," states Darrell Green, Senior Managing Partner of Jam House Live. "We are honored to be able to participate in the efforts of MOV and CAMMO to say thanks for the sacrifices made on our behalf by the over 3 million active duty military personal and their families. With the strategic partnerships that Jam House Live has in place with Big Live and ReverbNation, we not only will be able to bring awareness to the sacrifices that military families make for the betterment of all of us, we'll give the winner of our ReverbNation promotion the opportunity to personally say 'thank you' by performing for our troops at a stop on the Mission One Voice tour."
"Reverbnation is honored to be participating in this inspiring concert series," says Nathan Hoy, Vice President of Music. "We are always striving to find unique opportunities that allow our member artists to share their music with new audiences, especially when there is a philanthropic aspect involved. This concert is an exceptional chance for our members to say thank you to our country's serviceman and women by bringing the joy of music to them and their families and we are proud to be a part of the event."
"Big Live is proud to be the online social streaming platform of the Mission One Voice Concert series to help raise money in support of our troops", said Jonathan Zakin, CEO of Big Live. "Viewers of the concert on Big Live will be able to interact with each other both in groups and individually, and meet new friends who are also interested in this great cause online."
