iTAN Sun Spray Spa(TM) donates 966 pounds of food to The San Diego Food Bank during its "Tans for Cans" holiday program
With 20 iTAN locations participating, the 26-day food drive was carried out cooperatively between iTAN employees and customers at each location.
- San Diego, CA (1888PressRelease) February 11, 2011 - iTAN Sun Spray Spa™, San Diego and the Inland Empire's premier tanning salon and spa, announced today that it acquired 966 pounds of food, to be donated to the San Diego Food Bank, during its "Tans for Cans" program in December 2010.
The San Diego Food Bank provides food to people in need, advocates for the hungry and educates the public about hunger-related issues.
In a letter issued to iTAN CEO, Faraje Kharsa, Will McHenry and the 2010 Holiday Food Drive Team stated, "During your company's food drive, you were able to collect, and donate, 966 Pounds of food total. That means you provided 755 meals. The food you collected makes an immediate impact toward feeding the hungry in San Diego County. Thank you for helping to make this year's Holiday Food Drive a huge success!"
iTAN's YesiCARE initiative promotes community involvement, fundraising for local charities and the mobilization of iTAN employees to make a difference in the San Diego and Inland Empire communities.
By bringing five or more non-perishable cans of food to any iTAN location, customers received a complimentary upgrade on tanning services, levels 1 through 5, or a mystic/versa spa sunless tan between December 1st and the 26th.
