  • (1888PressRelease) November 08, 2023 - Shaw Centre was buzzing on Nov 1 and 2 as industry leaders, experts, and political leaders attended the Sustainable Finance Forum 2023 in Ottawa. The purpose of the forum was to bring experts from various fields under one roof to discuss and plan the financial scenario of Canada as it continues to grow.

Among 600 people, Isaac Olowolafe was a key guest who expressed his views on diversity and inclusion in IT and entrepreneurship. With his Nigerian origin, Isaac is well aware of the lack of involvement of the black community in entrepreneurship, and he chose the topic to share with his fellow Canadian experts who were gathered at Shaw Centre. The major topic of discussion was diversity as Isaac took hold of the mic.

There is no doubt that Canada has a growing black population; however, when it comes to entrepreneurship or equal rights, the black community is lagging. Isaac talked on the matter as his stronghold on the subject is commendable.

Isaac also discussed how his Black Innovation Fellowship Program is helping black tech startups and his vision concerning the foundation. He has been in the real estate business for years now and knows that the real estate market can only flourish when innovation is at its core. But in addition to it, he has never forgotten his duties towards the community, especially the black community in Canada, who are still struggling to find a roof over their heads.

With Black fellowship program, Isaac aims to help black tech startups prosper in the Canadian landscape. The idea is not only brilliant but was relieved with great enthusiasm by the attendees.

The other notable speakers at the forum were Andrea Dicks who highlighted that philanthropy in Canada is a massive $135 billion in assets and that with substantial resources, innovative solutions can be obtained.

Usha Shrinivasan was also a key speaker who emphasized the importance of early-stage startups.

The two-day forum ended successfully with the only conclusion that financial stability is a united effort.

The forum was attended by some notable figures, including honorable Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Minister Harjit Sajjan, Steven Guilbeault, Chrystia Freeland, Mark Caney, and others. With the greatest leaders, political officials, and community leaders, Isaac Olowolafe represented his views and made everyone believe why he is one of the youngest and successful businessmen but philanthropist in Canada.

Note: Isaac Olowolafe is the founder of Dream Maker Realty, a Canada-based real estate firm that believes in innovation and housing for all. He has also been behind the Black Innovations Program, where underrepresented communities try their hand at entrepreneurship. The program collaborates with Toronto Metropolitan University, where black-owned startups are given the required push. Whatever support they need is given to them at DMZ.

This idea has gained mass support from the black community as the program continues to benefit some wonderful ideas and the entire community.
