Ironwood Pacific Outdoors announced its sponsorship of Duracats Professional Catfishing Championship
The company's anchor pullers are a popular accessory for anglers during the event.
- (1888PressRelease) October 19, 2010 - Lake Oswego, Ore - Ironwood Pacific Outdoors, announced its sponsorship of the Duracats Professional Catfishing Championship, which takes place Oct. 23 and 24 on the Ohio River in Mount Vernon, Ind. Many of the anglers competing in the event make use of Ironwood Pacific Outdoors' AnchorLift anchor pullers during the event to anchor up on larger rivers or reservoirs before hoisting anchor and moving to the next spot.

The Duracats Professional Catfishing Championship is a competition to see which angler teams can bring in the heaviest catch. Teams are limited to two or three people per boat. Using only rod and reel and natural or manufactured bait, teams are allowed a maximum of six catfish. In order to qualify during the event, the catfish must be a minimum of 14 inches in length and alive at the time of weigh in. Any fish not moving its gills on its own is disqualified.
Tim Lange, a representative and webmaster for Duracats said Ironwood Pacific Outdoors' AnchorLift anchor pullers are commonly used by the fishermen during the event. "You'll see almost everyone out there has them. It's just a great product," Lange said.
