Iraq's Integrated Energy Strategy to be discussed at Iraq Petroleum 2013
Iraq's Integrated Energy Strategy (IEA) will be discussed at this year's annual Iraq Petroleum Conference.
- (1888PressRelease) April 09, 2013 - The Iraq Petroleum 2013 Conference, taking place 18-20 June 2013, will discuss Iraq's Integrated National Energy Strategy. H.E. Dr Rowsch N Shaways, Deputy Prime Minister of Iraq and H.E. Thamir Ghadhban, Chairman of the Advisory Commission to the Prime Minister, will outline the goals and objectives of the strategy over the next 10 years in a Ministerial Keynote Address at the Conference, held at the Intercontinental Park Lane Hotel, London, UK.
The oil and gas industry plays a fundamental role in the future prosperity and social development of Iraq. Its successful development is regarded as a key factor in contributing to the stability of the global energy market, as Iraq stands to gain almost $5 trillion in revenues from oil exports until 2035, an annual average of $200 billion.
The two day Conference and Workshop will identify and forge strategic plans for Iraq's oil and gas future.

The Conference discusses strategies for increasing oil production to meet the ambitious 2020 oil production target set by the Iraqi government, and the international investment needed to achieve this.
