  • Akron, OH (1888PressRelease) December 14, 2014 - In June 2014, the iPush Foundation began as an effort to improve online resources for people who use wheelchairs. Created by Chris Malcom, a C7 quadriplegic, the iPush Foundation serves as a lifestyle resource and source of encouragement for anyone who uses a wheelchair.

The iPush Foundation exists because of the generous financial support provided by At Home Medical - a self-pay medical supply provider that offers a wide array of products for wheelchair users. Today, thanks to the generosity of At Home Medical and community partner Eagle Sportschairs, the iPush Foundation is proud to announce our 1st Annual Wheelin' for the Holidays Contest.

"As a quadriplegic myself, I have strong desire to give back to the wheelchair community. That's why we started the iPush Foundation. In the spirit of giving, it seemed like the perfect time of year to start what we hope becomes an annual contest to help people in need with a brand new wheelchair," iPush founder Chris Malcom says.

From December 9 to December 23, 2014, we invite visitors to our Facebook, Twitter and main website pages to submit their story with the theme of "What Do You Push For?." One lucky winner will be chosen from the contest submissions to receive a brand new, custom-fitted everyday wheelchair built by Eagle Sportschairs and donated by At Home Medical.

No cash value will be awarded in lieu of the grand prize. See all contest rules and regulations at www.ipush.org.

The Grand Prize winner will be announced on December 24, 2014 via the iPush Foundation's website and social media pages. Thank you in advance to everyone who will be participating, this is our way of wishing our friends who use wheelchairs a very happy holiday season and Merry Christmas!
