IPHost Network Monitor - New Update of Distributed Network and Server Monitoring Tool
IPHostMonitor Inc. announces the performance update of IPHost Network Monitor 3.1, a reliable distributed network monitoring tool that supports the performance and uptime monitoring of Windows and Unix/Linux servers and workstations, web applications and websites, various servers and services.
- (1888PressRelease) September 26, 2012 - The Remote Network Agents allow administrators to monitor resources located in multiple remote LANs simultaneously. Agents support monitoring of all types of resources that the main installation of IPHost Network Monitor can do just as if these resources are located in the same network where monitoring tool is installed. Automatic discovery of resources in remote networks is also supported.
IPHost Network Monitor performs a variety of checks from basic connectivity (ping, TCP and UDP checks) to SNMP v1/v2/v3 and WMI operations, and can check the performance of Web pages, scripts and applications, remote databases, Web and mail services among other things. The SNMP browser with support of MIB import allows easy selection of SNMP variables to monitor. IPHost Network Monitor can execute a remote script or binary application via SSH. IPHost Network Monitor helps network administrators ensure the trouble-free operation and smooth performance of local and wide area network resources by performing monitoring of network servers and equipment, web servers, remote applications, and databases.
IPHost Network Monitor has an advanced and flexible alerting system so in case of performance bottlenecks or downtimes, IPHost Network Monitor can timely alert network or server administrator via one or more notification methods, and can attempt to automatically resolve the issue by executing a pre-defined script or binary on the affected server. The network monitoring tool can send an email or a text message (SMS) to a mobile phone (sending SMS via GSM modem is supported for more reliable alerting), or post an instant notification to ICQ, Jabber, or AOL IM messengers
Web Transaction Monitor (WTM) provides web site owners and webmasters with a tool to monitor web application performance and uptime. An aspect that sets WTM apart from most of traditional web monitoring tools is the real time monitoring of whole transactions such as the entire checkout process for an e-commerce site, user login and search function usage for a productivity web application instead of just monitoring uptime and page load time. Availability and performance monitoring of web applications is an essential task for each business that relies on web applications in its everyday activity. For internet companies whose core business is provided by web applications and services the monitoring of such applications is a vital part of their business operations.
A WTM user need not be an expert in monitoring and web applications to create a meaningful web transaction monitor. The browser-based recorder allows creating a monitor by simply navigating through the web pages which use the functionality that should be monitored. The Replay function provides a way to visually check that web transaction recording goes flawlessly and the resulting monitor will work correctly. This function is extremely helpful when a performance or availability problem occurs in a web application; replaying the same request sequence helps to understand which steps are OK and which are not as well as validating the fixes made to restore operability.
Pricing and Availability
Prices start from $199 for the Basic edition with 100 monitors to $1499 for the Enterprise edition with an unlimited number of monitors.
