Orange County, CA (1888PressRelease) August 11, 2016 - iPayables, the leading provider of electronic invoicing and AP Automation, is pleased to announce Christopher Naber as the winner of the 2016 iPayables AP Automation Scholarship. Mr. Naber who is majoring in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati, wrote the award winning essay, "The Nano Wallet". Mr. Naber's essay outlined what he believes payments will look like 100 years in the future.
In his essay, "The Nano Wallet", Naber describes an app with multiple payment options, credit and debit card access including links to a touch screen register that would be used to make payments. It will be lined to a computer chip that will be implanted under the dermis layer of the skin. The system will be called the Nano Wallet or NoW and will contain a barcode unique to each person and is read by a scanner using infrared light. Once NoW is inserted, "it is invisible to the human eye and safe from being copied. This is similar to the chips in credit and debit cards from 100 years ago that solved the card hacking crisis. NoW is completely safe from scammers and hackers at the register."
The iPayables AP Automation Scholarship was set up for college students seeking additional funds to offset the costs of a higher education. iPayables offered a $1000 scholarship for creative business minded students. Participants were asked to submit an essay of 500 - 1000 words creatively describing how they envision people will pay for things 100 years in the future. Several students from around the country participated in the competition and the winner was selected my iPayables management.
