iPatientCare EHR Receives 2015 ONC Health IT Certification from Drummond Group
iPatientCare EHR achieves 2015 edition ONC Health IT Certification.
- Jersey City, NJ (1888PressRelease) December 08, 2017 - iPatientCare, a pioneer in cloud-based ambulatory and inpatient EHR and Revenue Cycle Management services announced iPatientCare EHR achieving 2015 ONC Health IT certification by Drummond Group, an Office of the National Coordinator-Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB), in accordance with the applicable eligible professional certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS).
iPatientCare EHR is one of the early achievers of 2015 edition certification that supports requirements of Modified Meaningful Use (MU) Stage 2, Meaningful Use Stage 3, Advancing Care Information (ACI), ACI transition requirements, and Comprehensive Primary Care Plus (CPC+). The certification testing involved an elaborate process that required iPatientCare EHR to successfully pass hundreds of rigorous and detailed test steps demonstrating capabilities to support Meaningful Use Stage 3 and MIPS measures. Meaningful Use Stage 3 changes include higher thresholds of utilization compared to Stage 1 and 2, expanded Clinical Quality Measures (CQMs), and new data exchange requirements.
Comprehensive Primary Care Plus (CPC+) is a national advanced primary care medical home model that aims to strengthen primary care through regionally-based multi-payer payment reform and care delivery transformation. Elaborating on CPC+, Arnaz Bharucha and Vipul Patel, iPatientCare’s Sr. Technology Officers and Chief Incubators of iPatientCare Quality Programs said, “There are very few 2015 edition EHR that support all criteria required for the CPC+ program. iPatientCare EHR is one among these select few EHR, and in fact, the fourth EHR in the CHPL list today that is certified for the care plan.”
Substantiating the upbeat spirits at iPatientCare, added iPatientCare’s Chief Technology and Innovations Officer, Kedar Mehta, “New iPatientCare enhancements will improve communication of clinical information for providers serving the healthcare industry. We view this certification as validating iPatientCare’s thought leadership among EHR products dedicated to furthering the transition to value-based healthcare under MACRA: MIPS/Advanced APM”
