Iowa Stage Theater Company Moves Mciver To Full Time
Artistic Director assumes additional responsibilities as theatre company enters its second season.
- Des Moines, IA (1888PressRelease) May 18, 2018 - Iowa Stage Theatre Company has brought Artistic Director Matthew McIver on full-time, to oversee the organization’s efforts in both theatrical production and resource development.

McIver assumed the role of Artistic Director for Iowa Stage April 1, following a three-month transitional period with his predecessor Brad Dell. McIver led both A Christmas Carol and Arthur Miller’s A View From the Bridge for Iowa Stage’s inaugural 2017-2018 Season. An acclaimed director, actor and writer, he has worked previously with Repertory Theatre of Iowa, Stagewest Iowa, Mooncoin Productions, and was artistic director for the theater company of the Des Moines Social Club. McIver moved to Des Moines in 2008 as part of the founding team of the Des Moines Social Club, and served as Founding Artistic Director for the first five years of that cultural catalyst’s growth and development.
