IOREBA Unveils 2010-2011 Schedule of Events
Growing CRE Organization Continues Tradition of Monthly Networking Events for Members, Guests.
- New York, NY (1888PressRelease) July 21, 2010 - The Industrial and Office Brokers Association of the New York Metropolitan Area (IOREBA) has announced its 2010-2011 monthly meeting/event schedule. The organization will hold eight events during the fiscal year, featuring industry experts as guest speakers and providing members and guests a variety of networking opportunities.
"Our goal at IOREBA is to keep our members up-to-date on changes to the industry by bringing in expert speakers to address important issues," said Sean Brady, incoming President of IOREBA and Senior Director of Cushman & Wakefield in East Rutherford, N.J. "In addition, each of IOREBA's events allows time for networking, giving our members the opportunity to drum up potential business."
Many of the 2010-2011 Events are still being refined, and more details will be provided as the programs are finalized:
* Mon., Sept. 27, 2010 - IOREBA members will kick off the 2010/2011 event year with a Boat Cruise around Manhattan, setting sail from Hoboken. The event will be a joint meeting with ICREW NJ (Industrial Commercial Real Estate Women, Inc.) and NJ & NY CCIM.
* Mon., Oct. 25, 2010 - IOREBA's popular Urban Developer's Night, which attracted more than 220 attendees last year, will return for a third year at the Robert Treat Hotel in Newark, N.J. This year's event will be co-hosted with the New York Real Estate Board (NYREB).
* Mon., Dec. 6, 2010 - IOREBA'S Annual Holiday meeting will be a great party and fundraiser for Toys for Tots at The W Hotel in Hoboken, N.J.
* Mon., Jan. 31, 2011 - The first meeting of 2011 will be a joint event with Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) and Commercial Industrial Brokers Society (CIBS). The program will take place in New York City.
* Mon., Feb. 28, 2011 - The 19th Annual Developer's Night, historically one of IOREBA's best attended programs, will feature a networking reception that showcases regional projects, followed by a panel discussion during a sit-down dinner. The meeting will take place at the Glenpointe Marriott in Teaneck, N.J. Proceeds from Developer's Night will benefit IOREBA's Scholarship Fund, with money donated to the IOREBA Scholarship Program at Monmouth University.
* Mon., March 28, 2011 - An informative meeting highlighting Insurance Landlords in New Jersey will be co-hosted with the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP).
* Mon., April 25, 2011 - The 2nd Annual Service Industry Showcase, in Iselin, N.J., will provide an opportunity for Appraisers, Architects, Attorneys, Bankers, Contractors, Engineers, Furniture Dealers, IT Consultants, Movers, Public Relations, Voice & Data Consultants and many more associate members to showcase their professional services and projects to members of the real estate industry.
* Mon., May 23, 2011 - The final event of the year will be the 42nd Annual Golf and Tennis outing. The event regularly draws in approximately 300 members and guests for golf, tennis, lunch, dinner and various raffles and prizes.
New IOREBA University Program Offers Training for Members
To help members realize the value of social media and other new techniques to the industry, the organization has developed IOREBA University. These special workshops will be hosted throughout the year, tailored specifically to the educational needs of commercial real estate professionals.
