(1888PressRelease) January 18, 2011 - Miami, Florida - As part of Miami's annual Orange Bowl Festival, Investor Solutions was a Gold Level Sponsor for the 36th Orange Bowl International Youth Regatta. Investor Solutions joined 7 other benefactors on the Gold sponsorship level and was one of over 45 total sponsors for the Regatta, which has its origins in the 1950s as a powerboat race, but now hosts 665 sailors between the ages of 8 and 18 from 21 countries and 23 states. These young sailors competed in 6 classes along 4 circles on 562 vessels, making this Junior Olympic Festival one of the largest in the Western Hemisphere.

The largest of the classes this year was the Optimists (Red, White and Blue), which featured 217 total sailors, followed by the Laser Radials, 140 sailors, and 102 in 420s boats. There were also a number of Green Fleet Opti, Laser Full Rig and Laser 4.7 young sailors. One of the major benefits of the Orange Bowl Regatta is the open format, which requires no qualifying and allows a wide array young sailing enthusiasts to make new friends and compete on a high level.

This event was hosted by the Coral Reef Yacht Club and co-hosted by Biscayne Bay Yacht Club, Shake-A-Leg Miami and the US Sailing Center - Miami. The Regatta was held over 4 days the week between Christmas and New Year's and was part of the month-long Orange Bowl Festival that included a youth tennis tournament, a swimming tournament, a paddleboard championship, a creative art contest, a parade and a college basketball classic, all leading to the January 3 Orange Bowl football game between Stanford University and Virginia Tech. The Orange Bowl Festival celebrated its 77th anniversary this year, making it the nation's second oldest such festival behind only Pasadena's Tournament of Roses.
