Investment Watch: Cape Verde commands August attention
Cape Verde commanded the most attention from investors in August, according to TheMoveChannel.com's Investment Watch, which charts the level of interest in the overseas property portal's listings.

It's another triumph for the tiny island, as a five star beach resort in Boa Vista received almost twice as many enquiries as a popular villa in Italy, which held a strong fourth place.
Cape Verde has gone from strength to strength over recent months, following the peaceful election of a new president. Indeed, August saw EastEnders actor Shane Ritchie hunting
for land on the island, and July gave the country a glowing reportfrom the International Monetary Fund:
"Economic recovery in Cape Verde continues unabated, driven by the tourism sector and a rapid implementation of the public investment program," declared the IMF.
With both political and economic stability, the island is a constant draw for property buyers. Because of limited space for new developments, demand for real estate in Cape
Verde continues to grow, while the low prices and sunny climate make investment more attractive still.

growing buy-to-let industry also saw interest in Las Vegas and Detroit, but the plucky newcomer Cape Verde commanded the most attention, cementing its new-found status as one of
