The DEEBOT D9 Series will be available in early 2015 and has been dubbed as head of its class with state-of-the-art features including proprietary LDS multiple room laser mapping technology, SLAM navigation system, intelligent cleaning memory, a self-emptying dustbin, and smart phone / tablet control.
The DEEBOT 9 Series is designed to make consumers' lives easier and to free up more time for them to enjoy their homes instead of constantly cleaning them. Its 5-stage cleaning process includes dual side brushes, a main brush with six rows of replaceable bristles, a built-in squeegee, a strong vacuum with automatic height adjustment, and a new wet/dry mopping function that can clean almost any hard floor surface including hardwood, marble, linoleum, or tile. Advanced dust detection technology allows DEEBOT 9 to think for itself and automatically change to the best cleaning mode based on dust volume, anti-drop sensors help clean up to and around stairs, anti-tangle technology avoids tangling in lamp and appliance cords and voice announcements speak up if something goes wrong.
The DEEBOT 9 Series uses state-of-the-art technology called SLAM (Simultaneous Localization And Mapping) to understand and navigate rooms and prevent the touching of furniture/obstacles. SLAM is the same cutting-edge technology that Google uses in its new computer driven cars. DEEBOT 9 Series also uses LDS (Laser Distance Sensor) Mapping Technology, proprietary software designed by Ecovacs Robotics that builds upon SLAM technology to enable the D9 Series to clean areas only once (no duplication, no wasted time), to travel the shortest route back to its charging station, and to recharge and remember where to continue cleaning afterwards.
The DEEBOT 9 Series can also be controlled by most mobile devices including smart phones and tablets through an app which allows consumers to schedule cleaning times, assign specific cleaning areas, create areas to avoid cleaning, check cleaning progress and much more from anywhere with a Wi-Fi connection. It will return to the charging dock when cleaning is complete, or when the battery is low, and memorizes which areas were previously cleaned, so there is no duplicate cleaning.
The unique 5-stage cleaning process of the DEEBOT D9 series includes:
- Re-designed dual side brushes sweep dirt on both sides with longer bristles to make it easier to clean large areas quickly
- The main brush, with 6 rows of replaceable bristles, rolls all of the dirt and hair up towards the suction channel to be vacuumed
- The vacuum engine sucks the dirt into its dust box
- The built in squeegee constantly touches the floor at a precise angle to ensure the best vacuuming performance
- The reusable micro-fiber cloth or disposable cloths will mop and pick up bacteria, and can also be set for wet or dry mopping.
The DEEBOT 97 model also offers a self-emptying robot with a conventional canister vacuum integrated into the robotic system. The detachable handheld canister includes 10 accessories which can easily clean any surface, regardless of size, shape or location. And upon returning to the charging dock, the DEEBOT 97 robot will also automatically empty its own anti-bacterial dust bin, allowing it to clean for weeks without human intervention.
