The Salle D'eau brand will offer makeup artistry, private label consultation and couture beauty accessories that will be sold around the globe, beginning late March 2013.
Salle D'eau is a French word meaning "powder room." Women around the world refine their beauty in the powder room. Ms. Jordan wants to earn her footing in the entrepreneurial landscape in New Orleans. Ms. Jordan commented, "This city is filled with talented, innovative entrepreneurs who possess the attributes to grow the community with dynamic businesses." Salle D'eau is a luxury brand to enhance the confidence of women and build self-esteem for young girls with style and grace.
Salle D'eau will establish partnerships with talented artists, consultants and brands to grow the business. With her passionate connection to the fashion, beauty and luxury industries, she seeks to penetrate the market with a new lifestyle brand starting in New Orleans. Salle D'eau is launching two weeks before the annual New Orleans Entrepreneur Week hosted by Idea Village. As a new startup venture, Ms. Jordan also needs mentor and investor assistance to ensure her business flourishes.
Ms. Jordan was born with entrepreneurial dreams. She inherited the trait from both grandfathers and her father.
Ms. Jordan's career in Human Resources management spans over a decade. She has worked for major corporations in the Human Resource function but wants to utilize her graduate degree from the University of Phoenix and business background to elevate her own brand. She also worked on several youth projects in the New Orleans area including teaching etiquette classes to girls at the Youth Consortium (All That for Kids) and tutoring at Truman Middle School. The Salle D'eau brand will focus on social responsibility and integrate social initiatives into the brand. Her passion and motivation is driven by her desire to build a legacy for her two toddler daughters and generations to follow.
