Introducing The 2011 Jason Thompson Summer Basketball Camp
A Sacramento King helps develop young athletes into the players they want to be.
- Philadelphia, PA-NJ (1888PressRelease) June 20, 2011 - NBA Basketball player, Jason Thompson of the Sacramento Kings along with the National Basketball Academy will offer a 5-day basketball camp designed to improve the skill level of all youth basketball players between ages 7-16, beginning July 11th at the Life Center Sports Complex in Burlington, New Jersey. With the aid of knowledgeable and experienced staff, players will work on fundamentals, practice habits and teamwork while implementing them in game-like situations. The unique experience will allow those who aspire to play basketball at an advance level the opportunity to train and practice like a professional.
Jason Thompson, who was born and raised in Mount Laurel New Jersey, where he led Lenape High School's Men's basketball team to the New Jersey Group IV state title, will return to the area to give young athletes the same opportunities in which he was afforded. His hard work and perseverance awarded him a scholarship to Rider University where he was the starting center until 2008. Upon graduating from Rider University, he was selected 12th overall by the Sacramento Kings in the 2008 NBA Draft. Jason continues to work hard on and off the court campaigning academic and athletic excellence. He now joins The National Basketball Academy to bring The 2011 Jason Thompson Summer Basketball Camp to Burlington New Jersey.

The National Basketball Academy is a professional basketball training organization. Founded by Shane Kline-Ruminski and Mike Heines in 2003, the Basketball Academy offers basketball skill training for individuals and teams through a variety of standard and custom training programs for professional, collegiate, high school and youth athletes.
