Internet marketer and philanthropist Jesse Willms has decided to partner with four well-known charities. "Give back to the community is very important... this is just one of the ways I plan to contribute," said Jesse Willms.
Boston, MA-NH (1888PressRelease) September 10, 2010 - Internet Marketing success story Jesse Willms has decided to partner with four well-known charities as part of his efforts to give back to the community.
"My companies just had one of their best months on record," Willms said. "Because we are dedicated to helping others, we decided now was the right time for these important partnerships."
Willms is a successful Internet entrepreneur. He started making money online when he was 16 years old, buying and selling computers and software. By the time he turned 22 he had launched several successful businesses. Today, he is the head of Terra Marketing Group.
"We were inspired this summer when Bill Gates and Warren Buffett encouraged successful business people and companies to dedicate a portion of their profits to charity," Willms said. "Since then, identifying and donating to worthy causes has been one of our core missions."
This is far from the only partnership Willms has helped initiate. Earlier this summer he helped create a partnership with the World Vision children's charity, which led to sponsorships of more than 99 impoverished children so far.
The organizations that will receive $25,000 each are:
The Breast Cancer Research Fund. There are over 1.5 million new cases of breast cancer reported each and every year. The BCRF is dedicated to both preventing new incidences of breast cancer and in helping find a cure. The BCRF is the only breast cancer research charity to receive an A+ rating from the American Institute of Philanthropy.
Boston Children's Hospital. In 2010, and for the 21st year in a row, U.S. News & World Report rated Children's Hospital Boston one of the nation's top hospitals specializing in pediatric care. The state of the art care provided by Boston Children's Hospital saves lives and improves the long-term health of its young patients.
The Gulf Oil Spill Restoration Fund. Created by the National Wildlife Federation, this fund is dedicated to helping restore the ecosystems that were damaged by the Deepwater Horizon oil rig disaster earlier this year. Many species have become endangered as the spill has damaged their normal breeding, nesting and hunting grounds. The fund recruits volunteers who work hard to undo the damage.
The Nevada YMCA. The Young Men's Christian Association of Nevada works with young people to help give them a sense of community and hope. Through camp programs, academic enrichment activities, after-school programs and more, the YMCA is one of the most respected and well-known non-profit groups in the United States.
