Charleston, SC, April 28, 2011 - UPakWeShip is pleased to announce the launch of its U Crate service, a revolutionary new way for customers to load belongings they need to ship overseas.
A solid wood crate with a hinged, locking lid to ease loading and security, U Crate provides much more protection than other containers and allows customers to load non-conforming items that would not fit in a standard box.
The U Crate is ideal for many different shipping needs, including:
• Domestic and international moves
• Fine art and antique shipping
• eBay purchases that require shipping
• Companies that need to ship commercial goods, exhibition equipment, music equipment, fragile medical equipment, etc.
The U crate is a versatile new option for customers to ship items from point A to point B safely and securely. In addition to the protection inherent in U Crate's design, the shipper can lock the U Crate with their own padlock and hold on to the key. UPakWeShip will contact the customer for the key only if Customs needs to inspect the crate.
The U Crate is available in 2 sizes - 50 or 100 cubic feet. The 50 cubic feet dimensions are 43"x48"x42" high, and the 100 cubic feet dimensions are 86"x48"x42" high. UPakWeShip also develops custom crates for shippers requiring a slightly larger crate to fit a sofa and other larger pieces of furniture.
"In our experience, a good way to for customers to gauge what size crate they will need is to use painter's blue tape to mark out the dimensions on the floor around the items they plan to ship," recommends Mark Nash, President ofUPakWeShip.
Customers can load belongings into a U Crate at one of UPakWeShip's 88 terminals across the country. For added convenience, if a customer has access to a pickup truck, they can collect a U Crate from the terminal, load it up and return it to the terminal on their own timeline.
