International Seminar on teacher Education for Peace & Harmony from Feb 11 To 13, 2012
IASE Deemed University, a constituent unit of Gandhi Vidya Mandir Sardarshar is organizing an International Seminar on Teacher Education for Peace & Harmony from Feb 11 to 13, 2012 at Gandhi Darshan Rajghat, New Delhi and Post Seminar workshop on Feb 14 & 15 at IASE Deemd University, Sardarshahar, Rajsthan.

This seminar is dedicated to Late Dr. L.M. Singhvi, our former Hon,ble Chancellor who was also High Commissioner to UK.
In the Seminar we expect about 250 national and international delegates from USA, Russia Switzerland, Romania, Spain, Africa Nepal, Bhutan, Bangaladesh and so many Vice Chancellors, Professors, eminent Laureates, Scholars, Peace activist, fenowned Gandhians and stable transformation.
The seminar will commence from Feb 11, 2012 with the Inaugural Session at 11am. There would be overall 4 Plenary sessions and 12 Thematic Session concluded with a Valedictory Session. Apart of this there would be four special run parallel to the Thematic sessions including session for Harmonious Civilization for World Peace on 11th February at 3.45 pm. During this session a "Global Harmony Textbook, ABC of Harmony" written by 75 co-authors from 25 countries would be released and subsequently Value Education Session by Sanskaram and Human Value session with a book release and finally the media session of "Role of media for Global Peace and Harmony" on 13 Feb at 11 am where a number of renowned journalists are expected to give their views.
The Guests of honour of the Inaugural Session Would be Shri Oscar Fernandes, Shri Nikhil Kumar, Governor Nagaland, Mrs Kamla Singhvi, wife of Late Dr, L M Sighvi, Dr. Charles Merceica from USA, Dr. Leo Semasco from Russia and in the Valedictory Sessiion would be Dr. Karan Singh, Swami Chidanand Muniji of Parmath Niketan Ashram, Rishikesh, Dr. Samdhong Rimpoche, Former PM of Tibetan Govt. in exile.
Shri Kanak Mal Dugar-Chairman of the Seminar Organizing Committee, President of Gandhi Vidya Mandir and Chancellor of the IASE of Deemed University, stated that there is an urgent need of giving a fress look to the teacher education curriculum, so that te teachers with the vision of Peace & Harmony are produced to make a deep and lasting impression on the personality of the children who are the future of this world. Teachers like Budha, Mahavir, Jesus Christ, Guru Nanakdev, Swami Vivekanand and Bishop Vincent have proved it.
The founder of Gandhi Vidya Mandir Shri Kanhaialal Dugar who subsequently doneated all his wealth and became a Sanyasi (Ascetic) Known as Swami Shri Ram Sharan Ji Maharaj always believed in the power of teacher as the strongest tool to carve the future of the society.
The Institue of Advanced Studies in Education (IASE) was sponsored by Gandhi Vidya Mandir (GVM).
