International Events Managers AMA Wins Major IT Conference Contract
UK-based international events organisers AMA Events has won a three year contract to manage the prestigious SAP UKI User Group Conference.
- (1888PressRelease) November 26, 2011 - AMA Events is delighted to announce that they have been chosen to manage the UK & Ireland SAP Users conference account for the next three years. They faced tough competition, pitching against five larger IT conference service agencies to win the contract.
The SAP Users conference brings together users of SAP software applications for networking and an opportunity to share knowledge and best practices. UKI SAP User Group, wholly independent from SAP and recently merged with Business Objects User Group, promotes this conference as their flagship event.
The conference regularly attracts over 500 SAP users from organisations throughout Europe. In 2011 the event featured 85 exhibitors, 118 speakers and over 12 streams. Due to the strong focus on networking, it also includes a networking reception and gala dinner.
AMA has been successfully managing the UKI SAP Users conference for the past five years, prior to winning this contract. Their re-appointment as account managers is an important one for the company, as Nicola Crossland, Director at AMA, explains: "The pitch was a very detailed and rigorous process. It included a strategic proposal for 2012 and detailed budgets for 2012 to 2014.

The appointment becomes effective from December 1, 2011.
