Intelbras announces new technology partnership with QuesCom to offer mobility solutions to Unified Communications market
Intelbras market in leader for telephone PBXs in Latin America, today announced a new technology partnership with QuesCom, the French company focused on developing fixed-mobile convergence solutions to meet the growing market for Unified Communications in Brazil.
- (1888PressRelease) May 31, 2012 - The company has been developing over the past few months a new comprehensive portfolio of products, applications and services to address the market for unified communications, focusing on the segment of medium and large enterprises. Thus, the partnership contributes to the expansion of this portfolio, thereby enhancing Intelbras communication solutions offers to corporate clients.
The two companies signed a partnership agreement for Intelbras to sell QuesCom solutions to the Brazilian corporate market. In June Intelbras starts commercialization of IP/GSM Gateway Q200 through its integrators. This equipment is a voice gateway that allows least cost routing like directing calls from a PBX with IP interface directly to mobile operator network.
In its basic configuration the gateway supports up to 4 GSM ports, but can be expanded up to 8 ports in the same equipment. The Q200 can still be used in conjunction with digital switches that do not have IP interfaces, it offers the possibility of adding a digital trunk interface E1/R2 in pass-through mode for communication with the legacy PBX. Thus the outbound connection occurs transparently to the PBX users and the gateway takes care of routing to a fixed or mobile operator depending on the configuration.
The gateway Q200 offers many benefits, including sms and fax services and a portability service that automatically detects which mobile operator operating the user is calling, and so automatically selects the adequate operator. With this feature the equipment provides great savings to the user, always guaranteeing on-net calls and thus the best available rate at the time.
Intelbras and QuesCom are confident that this partnership will bring substantial business in Brazil, further strengthening the market positioning of Intelbras UC.
"This partnership with Intelbras represents a major step towards consolidating the presence of QuesCom in the enterprise telephony market in Brazil," said Robert Urban, vice president of sales.
"The QuesCom technology coupled with the knowledge of the market by the Intelbras, makes this partnership is very promising for both companies and especially the market for corporate communications in Brazil, since the use of fixed-mobile convergent technology will greatly cost savings for corporate users, "said Elcio de Moura, managing director of Intelbras solutions.
