Intel® Apollo Lake Based Fanless Box PC Ideal for loT Edge Computing Application and Intelligent Digital Display
QBOX-300S Series is positioned as an entry-level platform suitable for a variety of IoT edge computing, automation and infotainment applications, such as manufacturing process control, factory automation, machine automation, Kiosk, self-service, ATM and vending machine.
- (1888PressRelease) October 22, 2018 - Higher Computing / Graphics Performance with Low Power Consumption
QBOX-300S Series is powered by Intel's next-generation Apollo Lake SoC processors which provides around 30% processing performance upgrade in comparison to its predecessors while the power consumption still remains low at 6W ~ 12W TDP. With Intel's 7th-generation graphics engine integrated, the graphics performance has 40% to 45% upgrade as well and is able to bring more powerful support to 4K Ultra HD resolution output.
Platform for Harsh Conditions and Ruggedized Applications
Enclosed within a sealed rugged aluminum housing with passive cooling techniques, QBOX-300S guarantees highly reliable silent operation against environmental disturbances, such as vibration, shock, moisture, dust and contaminants. Furthermore, it is made with a completely cabless design inside, providing higher reliability and suitable for ruggedized applications. Several extended-temperature models are offered in this series and allow installation under extreme temperatures up to 70 °C and down to -20 °C.
Small Footprint
QBOX-300S Series has a small footprint, around within a palm-sized area, and can be easily integrated into most machine, custom enclosure, control cabinet or even the narrow space behind the monitor.
Efficient Storage Option and Flexible Wireless Expansion
Abandoning traditional SATA hard drive, QBOX-300 Series adopts mSATA SSD or M.2 SSD as its storage media for operating system or data, which benefits itself with several advantages including small form factor, low power consumption, shock / vibration resistance and fast boot / shutdown capabilities. There is an Micro SD card cage located on the front I/O panel as well to provide an expandable memory space to multimedia file retrieval or data logging applications. In addition, users can flexibly extend Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and / or 3G / LTE wireless networking capabilities to the system via one mPCIe socket and two M.2 sockets (Key A and Key B respectively).
