Integrated Access Systems Manufacturer, Apollo Security Systems, Offers Digital Door Strike Control
The ADA-11, an easily-installed, secure, wall-mounted door strike offered by integrated access systems manufacturer Apollo Security Systems, is setting the standard on door security access systems.
- Orange County, CA (1888PressRelease) February 24, 2012 - As integrated access systems become increasingly popular in the secure complexes of large companies and governments, the most fundamental aspect of the access control system remains the door strike. Though the technology of what we now consider "keys" has developed greatly with new advances from security industry, the fundamental utility remains the same. The ADA-11 is the ultimate security device when it comes to electronic door strike control for integrated access systems.
The ADA-11 is smaller than most of its competitors, but its unassuming size does not make it any less strong or secure. This product meshes perfectly into all integrated access systems with its switch-selectable address and snap-in holder, also making for easy installation.
Up to 16 ADA-11 receivers can be multi-dropped from a single card reader. The sender in the card reader encodes the control information into a digital data stream which is decoded by the ADA-11 modules, thereby making the entire integrated access system operate at the utmost security level. Each receiver module must recognize its unique address before switching its electrical load. Up to 16 unique addresses are sent to the ADA-11.
In most access control systems the wiring between the door strike and the card reader or controller is vulnerable to attack. An intruder need only apply a voltage or ground at this point to control the strike, thereby making intrusion through the integrated access system simple. The ADA-11, however, protects from attacks of this nature by requiring a specific, encoded digital signal to control the strike. Even if the internal wiring is exposed, a trespasser cannot manipulate the strike by utilizing only the internal card reader wiring of this integrated access system. Sender output communication has a high noise immunity with a continuous digital data stream to further safeguard door access.
The ADA-11 can be mounted in a protected area near the strike with only the digital encoded signal going to the strike location. Therefore, control of the strike is removed from the reader and protected between the access controller and the strike. The design of the ADA-11 module allows easy retrofit to present installations, making the ADA-11 a perfect addition to existing integrated access systems. The ADA-11 receiver connects directly to the output of most Apollo Security Systems card readers.
