Institute of Chartered Accountant of India Organised Conference on Companies Act 2013
The Northern India Regional Council (NIRC) of ICAI organized one day Conference on the New Companies Act 2013 at Sri Ram College of Commerce.
- (1888PressRelease) October 10, 2013 - New Delhi - The Northern India Regional Council (NIRC) of ICAI organized one day Conference on the New Companies Act 2013 at Sri Ram College of Commerce .The programme was graced by the Eminent personalities and experts on the New Companies Act 2013. Experts of the occasion were CS U.K Chaudhary ,Past Pressident of ICSI ,CA Anil Sharma,CA Yogita Anand ,Chairperson NICASA of NIRC Of ICAI .The Programme started with the lightening of Lamp. Around 300 CA students were present.
On this occasion CA Anil Sharma introduced the New Companies Act 2013 by giving elaborate history leading to the development of this act. He stressed on the intention of the Government that the rules and regulation related to regulatory aspect like role of Directors, Auditors and Public dealing this company should be clearly specified and should be strengthened. Many new concepts like one person company , small company and dormant company has been introduced .No of chapters has been increased from 13 to 29 whereas the relevant section has been reduced to 470 from 658 .The schedule has also been reduced from 15 to 07.
On this Ocassion CS U.K Chaudhary, mentioned that the New companies Act is going to be brought to see change in the way the companies are governed and regulatory. The rules governing the companies will guide the applicability of the companies act. The scam in the recent past has made in mandatory of the part of Government to re think and to introduce this New Companies Act.
He also explained the benefits of new provisions and said that the deficiencies /doubts in the earlier act.is now rectified and classified .As a chartered accountants ,the responsibilities are more on auditor because CA's are the Custodian of Public Money.
CA Yogita Anand ,Chairperson of NICASA(Northern India Regional Council of India) of ICAI said while her address "We the Chartered Accountants are treated as custodian's of our country's wealth and are true sense partner in nation building .We are here to learn our social responsibilities and to contribute towards nation .
