- Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, FL (1888PressRelease) January 22, 2021 - CLEARWATER, FL – With the eyes of the world turning to Tampa for Superbowl 55, visitors will likely encounter the Church of Scientology, whose spiritual headquarters is in Clearwater, right across the bay.
“There has recently been an increased interest in Scientology,” said Amber Skjelset, the Manager of the Scientology Information Center in downtown Clearwater. “We welcome dozens each week. These guests want to learn the facts about Scientology, what our basic beliefs are, all so they can better understand what it is. The Inside Scientology: Flag episode enables viewer to go even further and learn what happens every day at Flag.”
“This is the spiritual home for all Scientologists,” said one staff member, interviewed for the episode. “Flag really hosts the international community of Scientology. We have Scientologists all over the world and people come here from all over the world.”
Viewers will see the course rooms and ministerial counseling rooms as well as the work done behind the scenes to ensure that all runs smoothly.
The craftsmanship of the construction of the building is also highlighted.
“There were two and a half million man hours that went into the building’s construction,” said Skjelset. “This includes the 26-foot mosaic at the entrance to the building and the 62 sculptures that grace the three-story, block-long atrium. This episode of Inside Scientology gives quite a new perspective on Scientology for those who always wondered what it is.”
The episode is showing on DirecTV Chanel 240, and streaming on demand on Scientology.tv, Roku, Apple TV and Amazon TV.
“Visitors are welcome to the Scientology Information Center at 500 Cleveland Street in downtown Clearwater, too,” said Skjelset. We have educational videos and displays so you can get your questions answered.”
