Inroads welcomes Mike Roman as addition to the board.
- Newark, NJ (1888PressRelease) June 28, 2024 - The Board of Directors of Inroads to Opportunities is pleased to welcome Mike Roman as its newest Board Member. Inroads to Opportunities is a Union County, NJ-based non-profit human services agency that provides programs and services to over 400 individuals, annually, with various types of disabilities. The individuals range in age from 16 through retirement, many of whom are economically disadvantaged. Programs and services include vocational preparation, transition from school to work, certificate training programs, day habilitation, and mental health services.
With his professional accomplishments and over two decades of wide-ranging marketing experience, Mr. Roman is recognized for assembling effective marketing teams that drive growth. He is acknowledged as a leader who leverages his extensive background to nurture robust partnerships and relationships.
In his role as a Board Member, the Board of Directors anticipates Mr. Roman will use his strengths in marketing and leadership to drive positive change and foster growth within the organization. His dedication and passion for making a difference will leave a lasting impact on Inroads, its participants and the community.
When asked about his appointment to the Board, Mr. Roman commented, “Community service is very important to me. I have always believed in ‘giving back’ throughout my life. Personal experiences with family and friends who have been challenged with health issues have made me keenly aware of how life can change so unexpectedly.”
ABOUT MIKE ROMAN:
Mike Roman is a Marketing Strategist whose specialties include digital marketing. Besides his role as a Board Member at Inroads, Mr. Roman serves as a Marketing Director at Franklin Templeton, where he promotes cross-border fixed income marketing investment solutions. Mr. Roman holds an MBA in Finance from Fordham University and a BA in Economics from the University at Albany. He resides with his family in Cranford, NJ.

Since 1959, the Occupational Center of Union County, DBA Inroads to Opportunities, has been providing programs and services to over 400 individuals with various types of disabilities and ranging in age from 16 through retirement, many of whom are economically disadvantaged. Programs and services include vocational preparation, transition from school to work, certificate training programs, day habilitation, and mental health services.
Celebrating its 65th year, Inroads to Opportunities is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), an approved provider of the NJ Department of Labor, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services, and Commission of the Blind and Visually Impaired. Inroads is licensed by the State of New Jersey Department of Human Services, NJ Division of Mental Health, and Addiction Services to provide partial care and the Division of Developmental Disabilities to provide Day Habilitation, Pre-Vocational and Transportation Services. Inroads is an approved Medicaid provider and an approved Employment Network under the Ticket to Work Social Security initiative and an approved Benefits Planning and Counseling Service through the NJ Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services.
