- (1888PressRelease) May 24, 2024 - Roselle, NJ – Inroads to Opportunities, a Union County, NJ-based non-profit human services agency, that provides programs and services to individuals with disabilities participated in the 2024 Earth Day Cleanup event organized by the town of Elizabeth.
Inroads to Opportunities, Transition Plus and Dayhab programs contributed to the initiative by volunteering their time and efforts toward positively impacting the local community.
The Transition Plus program participants took part in the Earth Day Cleanup by lending a hand in cleaning up Warinanco Park in Roselle, NJ. Transitions Plus is dedicated to serving individuals with disabilities aged 21-25 who are interested in pre-vocational training, where they are provided with consistent and structured professional support to help them navigate the challenges often associated with their disabilities.
The Day Habilitation program participants had the opportunity to learn about sustainability and advocacy, engaging in discussions on environmental issues and ways to help the environment. Additionally, they demonstrated their creativity by making flower pots for planting in the community. Dayhab fosters community connectedness through purposeful participation, aimed at developing awareness by immersing individuals in all the offerings of the greater community.
