Industry Veteran DK Davis Signs New Global Record Distribution Pact With Toronto's AMG/SONY

(1888PressRelease) July 17, 2019 - Toronto, Canada - Less than one month after his contract expiry with an indie label powerhouse, industry veteran recording artist, DK Davis has signed a new worldwide recording, distribution and promotion pact with Toronto's AMG. As part of a new multi-year deal, Davis has teamed up with AMG/SONY as his new label partner.

"I'm ecstatic to announce that my new musical home will be AMG with SONY Music Group Distribution," Davis wrote. "Over the years, Mark Berry and AMG SVP, Bobby Tarantino have been such incredible partners and friends. It's so thrilling for me that they, and the entire worldwide AMG team, will be my label family moving forward for my extensive music catalogue."

While specific terms of Davis’ new deal were not made public, there are a few important takeaways. Firstly, he will continue to own all of his master recordings moving forward, something he says is "incredibly exciting." Davis further states, "It's an honor to be associated with Mark & Bobby, two seasoned veterans of the music business. They have a terrific group of talented writers, recording artists and promotional staff internationally. Over the past few years I have been recording great, well written songs and it is going to be a thrill to see the response from the listeners on Spotify, the biggest radio station in the history of music. I will also enjoy the opportunity to write and record songs for feature length films and television. This will be a whole new opportunity to reach out to new groups of people all over the world.
