Industry City to Host Brooklyn Fashion Weekend for Second Season
Creative Hub to Hold Fashion Event March 29- April 1, 2012.
- New York, NY (1888PressRelease) February 06, 2012 - Industry City, the creative enclave that comprises 40 acres of Bush Terminal along Brooklyn's Sunset Park waterfront, will host Brooklyn Fashion Week{end} (BKFW), the borough's premier fashion and charity event, for a second season this spring. The "B Fashion, B part of it" Fall/Winter 2012 collection show kicks off on March 29th through April1.
Attendees (beauty, fashion and media professionals) of the four-day event will enjoy a full runway production and view collections of designers based in Brooklyn and around the world. The BK Style Foundation (production house of BKFW) is currently seeking designers in all fashion categories. As BKFW celebrates a13th season this spring, opening night begins with a green initiative of Eco-Friendly designers. Previous seasons of BKFW featured collections by the fashion design students of William H. Maxwell High School in Brooklyn and African born designers.
In an effort to provide the Brooklyn community with current trends, BK Style is currently seeking cutting-edge accessory designers and beauty product producers to participate in BAG the (Beauty & Accessory Goodies Expo) beginning March 3rd & 4th at Industry City.
BKFW is one of the many events held at Industry City as part of the complex's support of local arts, culture and charity. Industry City has approximately 11,000 square feet of communal exhibition and event space, which has been provided for artists' use and is available for functions such as BKFW. "The BK Style Foundation is thrilled to have formed an amazing partnership with Industry City. It makes the mission worthwhile to receive such incredible support.
