Indiegogo Campaign to Raise Multiculturalism
Genius In Motion's campaign is to raise funds for the unique new online portal designed for multicultural talent to connect with companies, build networks, and develop the skills to be successful working in film, TV, and ad industries.
- Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) October 10, 2013 - Leave it to Tracie Dean Ponder, CEO and founder of GENIUS IN MOTION, and multiculturalism will no longer just be a buzzword used by corporate human resource departments. Her goal? To revolutionize how multicultural talent and companies connect around issues of diversity in the film, television and advertising industries.
She just needs $44,000 in 40 days to do it.
"We can either continue to complain about diversity issues or we can do something about it to change it," said Ponder, referencing Genius in Motion, which will feature original content, cutting-edge news, career development tools, resources and industry testimonials from celebrities and notables. "I don't only think its our responsibility, but our obligation to do what we can to effectuate change."
To that end, Ponder has partnered with established companies such as Leo Burnett, Burrell Communications Group, and the American Advertising Federation, to help launch GeniusInmotion.com. An innovative online portal for companies to foster an open space for employees, access a deeper understanding on cultural nuances and discover multicultural talent, Genius In Motion will also be where aspiring, emerging, and established talent can network and learn how to obtain and sustain successful careers in film, television and advertising.
Genius in Motion is set to launch in 2014.
"It's vital that people help build this revolutionizing online forum. Any financial contribution brings us one step closer to helping multicultural talent and companies," said Operations Director Lupe De Los Angeles. "It'll take everyone working together to achieve such a big mission."
Ponder agreeing, added.
"Nothing can be accomplished alone, no matter how good your intentions are," she said. "Only people with like minds and hearts coming together to give, learn and grow can accomplish advancing multiculturalism."
