Indie Rock Band The Vantage Beats 4,100 Other Bands to Win Music Marketing Social Media Campaign Courtesy Web 'n Retail on ReverbNation
Music marketing company Web 'n Retail has picked Indie Rock band The Vantage as the winner of their Reverbnation opportunity for a free social media marketing campaign.

Winning a cost free 2 month Social Media Marketing and Management campaign for Facebook and YouTube; from over 4,100 talented artists - across all genres - is the duo "The Vantage".
The selection process was arduous. The Web 'n Retail selection committee listened to, and scored, every single track of the 4,126 tracks submitted, and narrowed the entries down to the top 160 via a point system. From there, the top 160 entries were given additional points for having a (marketable) video, a social/fan following of over 2,500, existing press and/or a new release coming soon; the more elements, the better. To be certain the final selection was not simply the result of any one staffer's personal taste, the entire Web 'n Retail selection committee of 4, each listened to, and assigned individual scores for the music (only) which were then averaged. The final winner, The Vantage, won by a landslide as a result of having many elements in place and just making great music.
The Vantage is an Austin, Texas based Indie Rock duo with James Mason on vocals and Jackson Wise on guitar and vocals. James and Jackson wrote their hit single "On My Way" while sitting in a hotel room in New York City in 2012, unaware of the success they were about to have on their hands. That year, "On My Way" received over 275K views on SoundCloud which helped earn them the #2 spot on Billboard's Next Big Sound Chart. The following year, The Vantage played their first show at SXSW alongside American Authors and The Mowgli's, to promote their debut EP 'This Time Now'. In July 2013, "On My Way" was featured in the ABC Family series premiere of The Vineyard. The band has also gone on to be featured on numerous MTV programs. On July 15, 2014 the band put out their sophomore EP 'Color Blind'. The EP features 5 tracks that showcase the band's spectrum of sound and evolution since they first hit the airwaves.
