Indie Pop artist Melanie Taylor is the 2017 CES Soundtrack Contest Grand Prize Winner

Las Vegas, NV-AZ (1888PressRelease) December 16, 2016 - Melanie Taylor, LA based indie-pop solo artist and songwriter, whose latest album "Melanie Taylor" was released September 23, has just been crowned the grand prizewinner of CTA's 2017 CES Music contest. Melanie's single "Dizzy" off her current album beat out countless entries that submitted to the open call online earlier this year. The singer will be performing the song live at CES in Las Vegas prior to the opening keynote address, as well as a 45 min set in the Gibson Tent on January 5 and 11AM - 11:45AM), and January 7 1:30 - 2:00PM prior to the CES fashion show.

The single was first released exclusively on Just Jared Jr. July 27. Melanie said about her song, "Dizzy is my album's feel good, driving-on-the-beach-with-my-windows-down song," (Melanie told JJJ.) "It was a blast to write and we channeled the old school Alanis [Morissette] that I grew up with jamming to, which I think came across well. It's a song that came from my heart, so I hope everyone feels the love!" The single and album are available now on iTunes and Soundcloud.

The multi-award winning singer and songwriter, (2x winning Best Pop and Dance AI Music Award, LA Music Award nominee, P.A.I.N foundation Best New Artist) originally from San Diego, CA got her start collaborating with Grammy Award winning producer, Christian Davis (Lil Wayne, Mark Walberg, El Debarge). Davis produced Melanie's first album "All About Today," with her first single "Cease Fire" placing top 40 in the National Indie Radio Charts, and top 200 in the National Pop Radio Charts. Melanie's first album's primarily straight pop/dance style has now morphed slightly into her sophomore album's "rock-based vibe."
