  • Houston, TX (1888PressRelease) April 23, 2015 - Tonight, she's in North Carolina. Her passion project for the last four years, indie horror film Sorrow, will be screened at Carolina Crownpoint Theater at 9630 Monroe Rd. at 7 p.m. in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Loredo and actress Melissa Mars, who plays Detective Salinas in the film, will be in attendance to participate in a follow-up Q&A. Tickets for the screening are now available online for $10.80.

Mars got her start in the entertainment industry in her home country of France as a pop singer. Since then, Mars has become a part of the independent film scene in the U.S. filming roles in movies like The Cabining and Curse of Mesopotamia. Her love for independent films, including Sorrow, comes from what she calls the "human element" of production.

"We obviously don't make these movies for the money but for the sake of the story that we feel we absolutely need to tell and share," Mars said. "I respect that devotion so much, and it makes me want to give everything I can."

The movie will begin at 7 p.m., and Loredo will introduce the film. Loredo and Mars will be in attendance to answer questions after the film concludes. Loredo is excited to screen her film in the heart of horror film fandom.

"I was in Charlotte last month for the Mad Monster Party Horror-Con, so what better place to screen the film than in a town that really appreciates horror?" she said.

Sorrow follows the story of Mila Sweeney, a forensic psychologist who is kidnapped and tortured by deranged serial killers. However, she manages to escape in order to exact her own ingenious form of personal vengeance against her captors.

Vannessa Vasquez stars as Mila, Eric Martinez and Mary Etuk play serial killers Dale Rogers and Hersey Igor, Melissa Mars plays Detective Salinas, Donny Boaz plays Detective Farrell and Andrew Sensenig plays Chief of Police Gonzales.

Loredo is optimistic that horror fans and independent film fans alike will appreciate her passion project. Click here to order your ticket for the screening today!
