Indie Author Collaboration Yields "Bad Book"
Three Indie Authors who have never met collaborate and publish a bad book entitled "Bad Book".
- (1888PressRelease) May 06, 2012 - Indie authors K. S. Brooks, Stephen Hise and JD Mader announce the release of their new collaboration: Bad Book. Bad Book is a parody of multiple literary genres and pop culture melded into one book, and is now available online as an e-book through Amazon.com's Kindle Select Program.
The collaboration was the brainchild of veteran author K. S. Brooks (the Agent Night Suspense Series, the Mr. Pish Educational Children's Series of books and more). "I think perhaps brain cramp is more appropriate," she said. "Bad Book is our response to the industry uproar over the flood of self-published books hitting the market. We wanted to make something outrageous available - and we used the title to illustrate that we're not shy about our mischief."
Bad Book has already received a number of 5-star reviews from readers on Amazon.com, with such comments as "rollicking good fun and laugh-out-loud hilarious," "clever, witty and original" and "hilarious and totally irreverent."
The authors have been enjoying the positive feedback. JD Mader says that "Bad Book was a book that needed to be written. It's the sweat-stained-six-packed-sick-from-too-many-taco-truck-tacos book that will put the world on alert." Stephen Hise, founder of the multi-author, multi-national site IndiesUnlimited.com, had only this to say: "I just want it to be known that this is not the sort of thing I normally write. I don't want to talk about this anymore."
