Statement from Jackie Clarke, CEO and Founder of Indiantown Community Outreach:
"Before receiving The South Florida Susan G. Komen for the CureŽ grant, Indiantown had limited resources for breast health outreach initiatives. The nearest city that provided such service was 20 miles away in Stuart, Florida. Because of the distance and poor economic conditions in Indiantown residents have limited to no access to breast health education and clinical services. As a community activist, I wanted to get involved and expand my organization to make a difference in providing the resources and education to our community on Breast Health Awareness."
