- (1888PressRelease) April 02, 2013 - IndianArtCollectors.com, an online platform for Indian contemporary artists and art connoisseurs, announces Pradip Sengupta as its 'Artist of the Fortnight', whose work would be at display from April 1 to April 15.
The artist did his B.F.A and M.F.A. in painting from Kala Bhavan Visva Bharati University in Shantiniketan. His work is somewhat autobiographical and features the world as seen through his eyes. Images triggered by his reactions to the happenings in society appear like pages of a diary narrated with figures, symbols and at times abstract forms.
Besides others, the image of a goat is a recurring theme in his work.
Pradip whose love for life has been aptly brought out by bright vibrant and vivacious colours quips, "Colors add life on my canvases. My portrayal of distorted realities is a departure from the actual truth of life.
" His works are the realities that are hidden behind the deceptive garb of abstract surfaces. Divulging his experience on IndianArtCollectors, Pradip says, "As a community, IndianArtCollectors.com, provides contemporary artists a common platform to share their work on a much wider platform."
Anuja Lath, Co-Founder and CEO, IndianArtCollectors.com aptly points out that the artist works add a meaningful insight to life and would be appreciated by people from different walks of life.
